Apple Stops iOS SDKs, Announces LDK

Apple Inc, the leading software patent lawsuit expert, is dropping the development of SDK for its iOS. The company is replacing the SDK with its LDK.

“LDK is a revolutionary Kit which will change the way we file lawsuits,” said Apple CEO.

The company said in a statement “We don't need the SDK any more. We have already developed that was needed to be developed. The need of the hour is to defend it. The LDK fills the much needed gap.”

Apple LDKLDK stands for Lawsuit Development Kit. The kit enables lawyers to plug in any device and find how many software patents can be contested. The device then automatically uploads the data to iTunes Lawsuit Library to check against Apple's software patents. If found positive, it then checks if any lawsuits have been filed already. If no lawsuit has been filed related to those software patents, the device looks up for the courts which are pro-software patents and automatically files the case.

Apple is charging $99 for the adapter. There are five adapters available which can be connected to any Android devices. Apple sill be releasing an update of iTunes which will add the LDK feature to it.

A lawyer will also have to pay Apple a $99 fee to file a lawsuit on behalf of Apple.

“I think that's a decent fee, if the lawyer is confident in the court's bias towards software patents, then only he will file the case. $99 makes sure he is serious,” an analyst with EyeDG defended Apple's fee.

Apple will get 70% cut from the winning damages. Apple investors are excited about the launch, Apple's shares rose 30% as the announcement was made.

The Lawyers Association of America has welcomed the LDK and thanked Apple for making law industry one of the fastest growing markets of America.
